Community Service

The Pearl Fund provides financial grants to supplement the volunteer work of The Portland Pearl Rotary Club.

We are proud to call the following organizations our community partners for equity.

Transition Projects

For over 50 years, Transition Projects has delivered life-saving and life-changing assistance to some of Portland’s most vulnerable residents. Whether by helping a homeless veteran and her family find housing, sheltering hundreds of people each night with nowhere else to turn, or opening new pathways to employment, Transition Projects represents an invaluable part of Portland’s social fabric.

Portland Pearl Rotarians purchase and prepare dinner for the residents at Doreen's Place at Bud Clark Commons, a 90-bed short-term, housing-focused residential program for men located in NW Portland. The program provides case management, life- and job-skills training, and support services. Half of the beds are dedicated to U.S. Military Veterans. Abstinence from alcohol and drugs is expected of residents.
